Prices are based on the size of your quilt and complexity of the pattern.

Price is determined based on the square inch. To figure the square inches of your quilt top:

  1. Measure the width and the length and multiply them together. This will give you the total square inches of your quilt.

  2. Multiply the total square inches by the type of services you would like. Click here for a complete list of quilting and binding services.

Batting

  • You may provide the batting. However, if you prefer that I provide it, I will provide lightweight 80/20 (80% cotton and 20% polyester) batting for an additional charge of $15 per yard. If you provide the batting, make sure that it is 4 inches larger than the top on all sides.

  • If the batting must be seamed, there is a charge of $10 per seam.

Backing

  • Most customers provide the backing for their quilt. However, if you do not have backing available, I can provide a backing to complement your quilt top. I use 108-inch wide backing fabric, which provides a seamless back with a lower cost. Backing pricing depends on yardage and the type of backing chosen.

  • If you provide the backing, it must be 8 inches wider and 8 inches longer than your quilt top. There is an additional charge for seaming the back, ironing or other work required before quilting.

  • Click here to read more about how to prepare your quilt, including the backing.

Binding

  • Option 1:  $0.10 per linear inch -- You provide the binding fabric. Darlene makes the binding and machine sews on the front with mitered corners.

  • Option 2:  $0.15 per linear inch – You provide the binding fabric.  Darlene makes the binding, machine sews on the front with mitered corners and machine sews the binding on the back.

  • Option 3:  $0.25 per linear inch-- You provide the binding fabric. Darlene makes the binding, machine sews on the front with mitered corners and hand sews the binding on the back.

  • Custom:  You provide the binding fabric. Darlene makes the binding and machine sews on the front with mitered corners, and provides other embellishments to the front and or back of the binding including cording, piping and double binding (which looks like added piping).
